This North Georgia setting has presented an outstanding opportunity for the perfect golf experience. The undulating wooded terrain, sometimes rugged, divided by Yellow Creek has dictated a routing which will require an extensive diversity of shot making.

From the onset the goal has been to create an environmentally friendly course lightly touching the existing land through careful placement of the holes on the site. Returning nines are featured with a pleasant combination of individual tree lined and parallel fairways.

A magnificent entrance to the course features the scenic foothills to the Blue Ridge Mountains as the backdrop. On the first tee, the panoramic horizon frames the 427 yard par four which can be studied in its entirety. The short hard dogleg driving to the right with a reachable green second hole, quickly tells the story of the variety and challenges to be encountered at Crystal Falls.

Each hole is distinctly different on the par 72, 7006 yard course with a mountain feeling but playable and forgiving. Generous 419 bermuda fairways will be found with subtle contoured Dominant bentgrass greens.

Since 1970, Denis Griffith's and Associates, Inc. has designed golf courses throughout the United States and in many foreign countries. The diverse requirements dictated by terrain, vegetation and climate in these projects have provided DGA opportunities to propose unique solutions to their clients' needs. These clients include: foreign governments, state and local governments, resort developments, housing communities and country clubs.

DENIS GRIFFITH'S BIO
Since 1970, Denis has completed more than eighty courses throughout the world, including the United States, Scotland, England, Spain, the Canary Islands, South Africa, Puerto Rico, the Philippines, Japan and Thailand. He has established a reputation for enjoyable course designs, environmentally crafted within their surroundings.

Accomplishments include Golf Digest Magazine's Best New Course awards for Pole Creek Golf Club (1985), Winter Park, Colorado, Fox Hollow Golf Course (1994), Lakewood, Colorado and St. Marlo Country Club (1996), Duluth, Georgia. Chestatee Golf Club (1998) and The Georgia Club (2001), Griffith's most recent projects in Georgia were each recognized as the "Best New Course In Georgia" in their respective opening years. Environmental Achievement Awards were presented to Fox Hollow, Brasstown Valley (1995), Young Harris, Georgia and The Presidents Reserve at the Hermitage (2002), Nashville, Tennessee. Sun City Country Club (1980), South Africa, The Legends at Chateau Elan (1994), Braselton Georgia and Thai Country Club (1996), Thailand are Griffith's designs hosting PGA events. In 2001 & 2002 two new courses were completed and opened for the St. Andrews Bay Resort in St. Andrews Scotland "The Home of Golf".

The architectural anchor of this classic new golf experience is the Crystal Falls Golf Club. The Club is designed in the same natural harmonious spirit as the golf course, preserving the natural beauty but also cap­turing the views and vistas. The rear façade of the Club has a commanding view out over the course and Community beyond. Great sensitivity was taken in the character and the components used to construct the Club to ensure its compatibility with nature.

Upon entering, services such as members’ grill, men’s and women’s’ locker rooms and a pro-shop are elegantly appointed. The Crystal Falls Golf Club will soon become the sought after location for golf as well as a wide variety of outings.
