HISTORY
Since 1970, Denis Griffith's and Associates, Inc. has designed golf courses throughout the United States and in many foreign countries. The diverse requirements dictated by terrain, vegetation and climate in these projects have provided DGA opportunities to propose unique solutions to their clients' needs. These clients include: foreign governments, state and local governments, resort developments, housing communities and country clubs.
DENIS GRIFFITH'S BIO
Since 1970, Denis has completed more than eighty courses throughout the world, including the United States, Scotland, England, Spain, the Canary Islands, South Africa, Puerto Rico, the Philippines, Japan and Thailand. He has established a reputation for enjoyable course designs, environmentally crafted within their surroundings.
Accomplishments include Golf Digest Magazine's Best New Course awards for Pole Creek Golf Club (1985), Winter Park, Colorado, Fox Hollow Golf Course (1994), Lakewood, Colorado and St. Marlo Country Club (1996), Duluth, Georgia. Chestatee Golf Club (1998) and The Georgia Club (2001), Griffith's most recent projects in Georgia were each recognized as the "Best New Course In Georgia" in their respective opening years. Environmental Achievement Awards were presented to Fox Hollow, Brasstown Valley (1995), Young Harris, Georgia and The Presidents Reserve at the Hermitage (2002), Nashville, Tennessee. Sun City Country Club (1980), South Africa, The Legends at Chateau Elan (1994), Braselton Georgia and Thai Country Club (1996), Thailand are Griffith's designs hosting PGA events. In 2001 & 2002 two new courses were completed and opened for the St. Andrews Bay Resort in St. Andrews Scotland "The Home of Golf".
